Happy New Year with Dies R Us!! And an Anything Goes Challenge to kick it off!!

Hello sweet friends! Welcome to 2017!
Welcome to our 1st challenge at Dies R US in this new year! Wow, still cannot believe that another year has gone and here we are starting a brand new one! I do hope that 2017 brings each of you more kindness, love, financial wealth, stability and lots of good health! And of course, lots of crafting!!! So, this is my very first project in the new year and I am super excited that it is with Dies R Us! Ok let's get to it because I'm excited to share with you what I created! Our challenge theme is Anything Goes using Dies! So with that being said, here it is!

I know that the holidays are all behind us now but I couldn't resist making a Holiday card! At least I have one done and on my way to a good start for the end of this year! Maybe if I do a holiday card a month, I will have a nice selection for next holiday season by the time it gets here and I won't have to stress about getting my cards completed. :) And yes I do have "2016" on my watermark because when I created it, it was still 2016! :)  So how about this snowman! Isn't he just so cute?

I used the "Build a snowman die set", by Cheery Lynn Designs to create this adorable little guy! I knew that I wanted him to be in some snowy hills so I hand tore some cardstock to create my snow hills and then just tucked him behind the first snow hill. Even die cut the broom in this die set and stuck it in the snow next to him! So my card is a standard A2 card size on some Bazzill cardstock base. My background layer is a piece of paper from Sizzix that I had in my stash from ages ago but it had little dots that resembled snow falling and I liked that for my background layer. At the top of the card front, I used the "Icicles" die from Precious Marieke, cut out of some DCWV glitter paper. I really love this die! It truly makes my snowy scene look very cold and icy all of a sudden!

My sentiment and the little snowflakes around it are from a MCT stamp set called, "Holiday Tags". But do you see the cute little frame around my sentiment? Well, I actually used some "corners" to build that cute frame. I used the "Heart & Loop" corner dies from Frantic Stamper! Really neat huh? I absolutely love these corner dies and they are so elegant. I just love how I was able to frame the sentiment and give it a classy look.  All of the dies that I used for this card can be found in the Dies R Us store HERE~

So to finish off the card, I added in some wood veneer trees and a little bit of white ink around the edges of them to give the look of fresh fallen snow. The papers that I used for this card are all from DCWV and Bazzill, with the exception of that one paper in the background which is from Sizzix.

I am adding this card to the following challenges:
