Hello my crafty friends! Happy Hump day!

A few weeks back, I was approached by a gentleman named Eric Woolf. Eric is the online media coordinator for Daily Craft TV. Daily Craft TV is "your source for online crafting instruction". There are hundreds of videos on this site that teach you everything from A to Z that you need to know about quilting, sewing, knitting, crocheting, scrapbooking and papercrafting!

Eric had come across my blog while searching for scrapbookers' blogs and decided to see if I would be interested in watching one of the videos(of my choice) from the Daily Craft TV website and then give a review on it. Of course I said yes! Who doesn't like to watch craft TV?

I chose the scrapbooking section and chose a video called, "Designs & Techniques Creating the Perfect Project". This video was awesome! The video was a little over an hour long and it covered 7 chapters:
  1. Techniques Revealed: Fussy Cutting
  2. Design Workshop: Quick & Easy Ways to Add Dimension
  3. The Idea Center: Playing with Paint
  4. Designer Hints: Ribbons, Fibers & Trims
  5. Creative Shortcuts: Handmade Card Sets
  6. Design Workshop: Encouraging Your Imagination
  7. The Idea Center: Scrapbooking in a Grid

I found this video to be extremely helpful and informative. It covered topics that are new and in trend and also covered the basics.Their videos from what I have seen range in price from $4.99 to $9.99. What I liked about it is that the instructors that are teaching you in the videos are well known in the papercrafting industry. Some names to name a few are: Cathy Zielske, Lisa Bearnson, Megan Hoeppner and Ali Edwards!

In my video, the instructors did a wonderful job in explaining in detail what technique they were about to show you and walked you through step by step. It was very easy to follow along and they all spoke very clearly. The video was clear and of great quality. I was actually impressed with the video and I have a few other videos lined up to purchase that I want to review.

Because this is a review the only thing I can say I would like to see more of in the videos, are projects from start to finish. I'm assuming that for the sake of "TV" they wanted to keep the running time to an hour or less so that is why you probably don't see a project being completed from start to finish but rather in stages. I would love to see a complete project being created in its entirety. Other than that, everything was awesome! I learned a few new things by watching this video and I'm going to give some of those new techniques a try in some of my upcoming projects. I would highly recommend this website to all of you! You need to go and visit the site Here and learn something new too!!

I am hoping this link below works. It is the video that I watched and I am hoping that you all can view it as well. If not, I apologize. I would suggest that you create an account with Daily Craft TV and find a video that sparks your interest. You won't be sorry!

Until next time, enjoy life's blessings. Thanks for stopping by!

  3. yes the link works. It will cost to watch it for anyone who wants to see it $4.99. Although that's not that much to be honest I have a hard time justifying paying for a video when there are so many available at no charge. Thanks for the review!

  5. The link worked and it showed a "sample" of what was in the video. I know companies are trying to add the elements listed for review (at a price, of course) to enhance those learning new techniques regarding their particular hobby. Personally, I can find most of what was covered on Youtube for free. Thank you for doing the review.
    Hugs!
