Hello my crafty friends!

Every other Monday will mark the beginning of a new semi-weekly linky party and you could win fabulous prizes!!

Ok so here is my project that I linked up!

I made this cute gift bag by hand using just my score-pal and some score-tape. The pretty patterned paper is from SEI. SEI has always been one of my favorite paper companies and I adore their papers, especially some of their older lines. I used my Spellbinder's Beaded Ovals die to cut out the solid tangerine CS and then I cut out another patterned paper oval using a smaller size oval. I layered both of these ovals on top of a doily that had been inked up using some Tim Holtz Tea Dye Distress Ink. I did a lot of layering but surprisingly enough, I did not do any stamping on this project. Hard to believe huh? LOL

I added another inked up doily to the top of my bag, folded it over and punched two holes, one on each side using my crop-o-dile. I threaded some beautiful satin brown ribbon through and tied a bow. My ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon. I could not get my ribbon to work with me for my bow so unfortunately I had given up and decided to take the picture with a "discombobulated" bow LOL. Sorry!

To finish this bag up and make it all purty, I added some peach and orange roses that I got from Wild Orchid Crafts, a beautiful goldenrod flower from Recollections and a sweet glittery butterfly that I sprayed with my homemade glimmer mist that I named, "Sunset" because it is a mixture of gold, peach and metallic copper and it resembles the colors of a beautiful sun setting on a warm summer night. The butterfly came from my stash. I don't remember which company makes them.

Well that is my project for you today and I sure hope it has inspired you to make a craft the old fashioned way without any electronic die cutting machines or stamps! Just some paper, a scoreboard and a bone folder! I hope you decide to get crafty and link up your creation to this linky party! Don't forget there are prizes to be won!! It could be YOU!

  9. What a beautiful card. So many lovely textures!! I loved the design and for me it’s a gift in itself. I would love to have some DIY decoration for my niece’s 20th birthday bash. I am planning to host a party at one of her favorite venues in Chicago but having hard time in finding creative décor ideas.
