Over the Moon with Krumspring Stamps!! Day 2 & a Giveaway~

Hello friends!
Welcome to my 2nd and last day of helping to spread the word about a new stamp company, Krumspring Stamps!! If you missed yesterday's post, you will definitely want to check it out! I introduced the company and some awesome stamp sets and there is also a giveaway! You can see yesterday's post by clicking here.
So today I have one last stamp set that I would like to share with you and this one is by far my absolute favorite! I will show you the set first and then explain how and why this set is so special to me.
Shoot for the Moon
Ok how awesome is this set?!! Look at that amazing triangle moon! LOVE it!! Ok but getting serious here for a moment... when I saw this stamp set I almost squealed in delight. Now for the reason...since my daughter was born, I have always told her that I love her to the moon and back and that she is my little star. So my daughter is 13 now... and to this day, every single night before she goes to bed we have a little routine we do. Now this might sound silly to most of you considering both of our ages, but it is silly yet so meaningful to the both of us. She'll hug me goodnight and both of us will give each other a kiss, then we will kiss the inside palm of our hands and then blow it to each other. I will catch her kiss in the air and put it up to my lips and she will do the same with my kiss. Then we both tell each other that we love each other to the moon and back and we say "sweet dreams" and "I love you" to one another. Saying goodnight each night takes a good five minutes or so. :)  Also, my daughter has a beautiful singing voice and she sings like an angel. So I have always called her my little star. And my daughter loves moons! She even told me that if she ever gets a tattoo some day, she would want a tiny moon.  Well this stamp set has the moon and the stars and even has "to the moon and back" so believe me when I tell you just how excited I am over this set! So here is what I created using this stamp set. And by the way, this card is going to my daughter for her birthday and she'll probably cry because she's sentimental like her mommy. :)

I started off with a piece of watercolor paper. I stamped the large triangle moon and the baby moon in versamark and used black EP to heat set onto my panel and then used my molotow masking fluid to mask them off. Then I took some Chipped Sapphire, Dusty Concord, Blueprint Sketch, Hickory Smoke and some Black Soot distress inks to create a night sky. I blended each color together and tried to keep it more on a deep blue side with it being lighter in the middle versus the outside edges. I sprayed some water on it and then patted it dry to give that beautiful texture. Then I took some gold watercolor #90 from my Gansai Tambi watercolors and added little blots of it throughout the panel. I wanted more texture and to look more of a night sky so I added some Vintage Luna white EP by Creative Expressions. This EP is absolutely gorgeous with hints of blue, gold and cream particles. Once I added that in various places and heat set, I was finally happy with the background. Took the masking fluid off and took the gold #90 of my Gansai Tambi watercolors and colored in both of my moons. On the large moon, I went very light on some of the triangles so that I could achieve the look of gold and cream. And I did and love it! For the smaller moon, I used the same color and just added a more concentrated color to the front of it so that it looks like the moon is actually glowing. For that adorable star hat, I colored it in using the same color gold, adding in a little bit of silver #95. Then I added some of that vintage luna white EP over the top and just love the look. I fussy cut it out and adhered it to the large moon. Here is a closer look at the EP and the texture.

I took a piece of cream cardstock and die cut out that same beautiful scalloped frame from MFT that I used on yesterday's post and adhered that over the top of this panel. Next I took a piece of watercolor scrap and brushed a bit of that silver watercolor over the top and let it dry. Then I stamped the sentiment in versamark and black EP and heat set. Cut it out using a die from MCT and popped it up on foam tape for dimension. I wanted it to hang off the edge just a tad and to finish off the card, I adhered it to a piece of gold foil and cream triangle paper!!! Yes these triangles on the paper matched the triangles perfectly in the moon! A complete match for sure! Then I added a few clear sequins and adhered the entire card panel to a cream card base.
So that is it my friends! Here is one last look for ya...
