New Year & A little "Frozen" treat!

Happy New Year everyone!!!
Wow, can you believe it? It's January 1, 2015! Did we really just fly by  through another year so quickly? Yikes! It seems like the older I get, the faster the years come and go. That is kind of scary in a way. I know you all are thinking the same thing as me too LOL.

Did you enjoy your New Year's holiday? Every year, my family and I always watch Dick Clark's NYE live (God bless him, I miss that man) and this year was no different. But I will say this, Taylor Swift must have been literally FROZEN with that skimpy outfit she was wearing!! Did you see her? And Speaking of Frozen....... that was the biggest Rave for 2014. My niece & daughter just adore the movie Frozen, the song "Let it Go", and of course, Elsa, Anna & Olaf. Well while I was surfing the internet awhile back, I came across this favorite winter treat, Frozen style! Ya ready? "Frozen" Hot Chocolate! Who doesn't love a nice mug of hot chocolate on a frozen winter's night right? And if you have little girls, granddaughters, nieces or friends; Or if you are like ME and just love the Movie, try whipping this up! I promise you will love it!

Recipe:

Ingredients (serves 2-3):
4 ounces of white chocolate, chopped
1 3/4 cups milk
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
Few drops of blue food coloring
Whipped cream
Blue sugar crystals

Directions:

In a small sauce pan over medium/low heat, add the chopped white chocolate and milk, bring to simmer (don't let it boil). Keep stirring until the chocolate is completely melted, remove from heat. Stir in vanilla extract and blue food coloring. Pour into mugs, serve with whipped cream and blue sugar crystals. Enjoy!

Now mind you, I cannot take the credit for this delicious little treat. I found this on Sweet Caroline's Corner. You should definitely check out her blog. She has some really great recipes for those of us who have a sweet tooth! What a great way to start off the new year though! A nice mug of "Frozen" hot chocolate and perhaps a good movie with a snuggle buddy! Perhaps the movie Frozen and Olaf? Hehehe.

Well my friends, enjoy your holiday today! I can already feel it that 2015 is going to be a great year ahead. Here is to wishing each of us a great year full of love, great health, financial stability and lots and lots of crafty goodiness!!

Until next time ... Enjoy life's blessings~

  8. Hi Jo! Happy New Year! Thanks so much for stopping by my blog ... so nice to hear from you! These past view months have been a whirlwind for me. Between keeping up with craft shows, hosting our annual neighborhood holiday party and Christmas (not to mention design teams/challenge blogs, lol)! YIKES! I need a rest! LOL!
I hope 2015 is a healthier, more positive year for you! I refuse to let negativity into my life ... learned that trick going through hubby's cancer journey! Life is too short and I want SMILES & HAPPY TIMES ... not the opposite! So on that note I wish you the BEST YEAR EVER and please stay in touch! Always makes me smile when you come to visit!
