Cardz TV's "You're the Man" Stamp Release Blog Hop Day 2~

Hello my crafty friends!
Welcome to the Cardz TV's "You'e the Man" Stamp Release Blog Hop!!!
I am so happy that you could join us today for day 2 of the hop! If you did not get the chance to hop with us yesterday, you can just go Here and see all the wonderful projects that our design team has created just to showcase this gorgeous stamp set!
You should have arrived here from Laura's blog from the Queen's Card Castle...and now here is what I made.I made this card for my daughter to give to her dad on Father's Day.

I used kraft cardstock for my card base and made this into a regular A2 sized card. This is a one layer card which I rarely never do but I like how this turned out. Masculine cards are always a struggle but this one came together quite easy. The patterned paper is from Colorbok and so is the scalloped die cut. I fussy cut the scalloped die cut and stamped the sentiment "Happy Father's Day" using momento rich cocoa ink. I also stamped the mustache that comes in the stamp set using the same ink, fussy cut it out and popped it up on foam tape to add to the sentiment tag. I added a strip of patterned paper scalloped edged, also from Colorbok. To finish the front of this card off, I added some hemp cord and a rich brown button from October Afternoon. I went ahead and finished the inside.. here is a peek..

I used the same patterned paper on the inside and stamped the sentiments, "Dad" and "You're the BOMB!" in the same momento rich cocoa ink. I added some hemp cord to the top and added these cute glasses(also from the stamp set) up in the corner. I added some glossy accents to the glasses to make them look more realistic.

Well that is my card for today but please make sure to stop on by the Cardz TV blog and leave a comment for your chance to win not 1, but 2 sets of Cardz TV Stamps! The winner will be announced on Monday via random.org. Below is a list of the participants in today's blog hop. Please be sure to stop by each one and leave some love. Thanks For All You Do!

Hello my friends!! I am back from vacation! I went to Pennsylvania to visit my family and friends and I had such a great time. My niece got so big! AAHH... Just look at how happy these two were to see each other again (My niece on left, my daughter on right).

As much as I enjoyed my getaway for those three weeks, it sure feels good to be back home =)
Okay so I have a card to share with you today. I originally made this to enter into the Papertrey Ink's April Blog Hop but I missed the deadline. Has that ever happened to you? LOL

The challenge was to "tilt" something on your project so for my card, I tilted my washi tape. The card base is some kraft cardstock from the paper loft and measures at 4 1/4 by 5 1/2. I cut a piece of striped paper from Prima into a triangle and added that to the corner of my card. I used some washi tapes from American Crafts to run along the side of the triangle side and down through the middle of the card. I stamped the sentiment "Thanks for all you do" from PTI's Think Big Favorites #6 mini stamp set in Hawaiian Shores ink. To finish off the card I added some pretty white pearl bling from Recollections and added a sweet blue flower from Prima.

Well that is my card for you today... please mark your calendars for Saturday, May 4th to come help celebrate my first blogaversary birthday blog hop!!! There will be some amazing projects and prizes!
Also don't forget that I do have a 200 follower giveaway that you can enter Here. Thanks so much for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend!!!

Personal Challenge Week 10

Hello my crafty friends! I hope you all enjoyed your weekend!
Today I am sharing a layout I did for week 10's Personal Challenge with my bestie Kellie over at A Little Bit of Kellie. It was Kellie's week to pick the challenge and she challeneged us to have a big "oversized" title. Well I went to my pazzles and created the title, "Easter Dinner Memories" to go with an Easter layout that I put together. The photos in this layout were from 2008! YES I AM THAT BEHIND LOL ...

The background layout papers are from Recollection's All Seasons paper pad. The banner at the top, the tickets, the pink paper and blue photo mat paper are also from that same Recollection's paper pad. I took one of my Martha Stewart punches and punched out two borders out of some Coordinations paper. The title was cut out of some cute paper that I had in my stash on my pazzles inspiration machine. The first letter of each word was cut "Bigger" then the words. I also cut out that cute Easter egg from my pazzles and added some ultra fine glitter to it and added a bow made from hemp. To finish the layout off, I added some Liquid Pearls by Ranger to my borders and banner and used my stickles to glitz up my title some.

Well that is my project for today. I sure hope you stop by Kellie's Blog to see her take on week 10's personal challenge. If you want to play along with us at any time, please do! Just link back to our blogs on your blog.

Thanks for stopping by today! Have a wonderful week!

Cardz TV's Challenge #27 "Mix It Up!"

Hey there everyone!  It's time for another challenge at Cardz TV!

Cardz TV Ch# 27 "Mix It Up!"
Make a card, layout or craft project mixing 3 patterned papers
Starts: Fri, April 5
Ends: Thurs, Apr 18 @ Noon EST
Prize: 1 set of Cardz TV Stamps

I am not good when it comes to mixing multiple patterned papers, so this was definitely a struggle and definitely not my best work!
I used a stamp set  called "With Love" from CTMH for the flowers, flower vase and leaves. I stamped the flowers on patterned papers that I got from a Recollection's paper pad with some momento rich cocoa ink and fussy cut them. I then stamped the yellow flower with a peachy keen stamp. I also stamped the vase in rich cocoa ink onto some white bazzill paper and inked up the edges with tea dye distress ink. I inked the leaves/stems in Papertrey Ink's "new leaf" ink. The sentiment, "You can lean on me" is from the stamp set "More Encouraging Thoughts" by Mary's Cardz TV Stamps and I inked that up in the momento rich cocoa ink.

My cardbase and 1st layer paper are cardstock by Bazzill. The pretty yellow/white pinstripe paper is also from the Recollection's paper pad that I used for the flowers.

Here is a peek at the inside which also has a sentiment, "I'm here if you need me" also from the Cardzs TV stamp set "More Encouraging Thoughts".

Here is the stamp set I used for today's card and if you would like to purchase this set, you can just click HERE and get it!

Thanks for stopping by today! Please make sure you stop by the Cardz TV Blog to see all the wonderful creations my design team sisters have created! They really did an outstanding job on this challenge! Maybe you will want to take the challenge and link up your own project! Have a wonderful weekend my friends!

Vacation and Blog Updates~

Hello my friends!
Today's post is going to be short and sweet =)
I just wanted to update everyone on a few things. First and foremost my blog! If you look, you will see there are some new tabs on my blog. Starting in May, I will have had my blog for one year!
YEP Jo's Scrapshack is turning 1!!!
I will be having a huge giveaway and birthday celebration hop on May 4th so mark your calendars!!You won't want to miss out on this!
Also I want to let you all know about the new tabs on my blog, "Ask Jo" and "For Sale". I will finally (after many requests) be selling personalized word books, mini albums and a few other goodies.

The "Ask Jo" tab will now take you to a form where you can ask me anything at all and I will be doing a new feature once a week called "Ask Jo". I will be selecting your questions and answering them then posting them once a week.  You can ask anything at all and it does not have to be craft related. It could be about my life, homeschooling as I do homeschool my daughter, recipes, relationships, stamping, scrapbooking, techniques, anything at all! I think this will be a great feature and it will be so much fun I'm sure! There will also be another new feature coming soon but that will be saved and revealed during my Blogaversary Birthday Celebration Hop!

One last thing, I am leaving tonight on a flight to go back home to Pennsyvlania to visit family and friends. I will be gone for the next two in a half weeks. I do have a couple of posts set for you all while i'm gone but in case I am not as active, this is why. This is a huge  and long overdue vacation that is MUCH needed! Thank you for understanding!
Have a wonderful weekend ahead and I will talk to you all soon!!
