Cardz TV Challenge#25~ Luck of the Irish!

Happy Friday my friends! Today starts a brand new challenge at Cardz TV and this is going to be a super fun challenge because its honoring Saint Patrick's Day! I am not Irish but I love this Holiday! Green everywhere, lots of laughter, good brew and a shamrock or two! So here is what I came up with for this challenge..........

Cardz TV Ch# 25 "Luck of the Irish"
Make a card, layout or craft project using stamped, digital, or
 electronically cut Shamrocks or Leprechauns.
Starts: Fri, Feb 22
Ends: Thurs, Mar 7 @ Noon EST
Prize: 1 set of Cardz TV Stamps

Here is my project for this challenge:

I used my Pazzles machine to cut out the pot of gold and I made a cute matching 3X3 card to go with it. The pot of gold is a treat box that I will fill up with some green M&M's (my daughter's favorite candy) and give to my daughter for Saint Patty's Day.

I cut the Pot of Gold out using some Bazzill black cardstock. For the gold and the shamrocks on the outside, I used Core'dinations paper. I used some Glitz ultra fine glitter and added that to the shamrock and the gold to give it some sparkle. I cut the golden yellow tag out on my pazzles at 2 1/2 inches and tied it on with some twine that I then added to the ribbons. The ribbons that I used were just some ribbons that I got at Really Reasonable Ribbon. The sentiment is from Cardz TV Stamps, "Happy Days".

The cute 3x3 card front uses the "I'm so lucky" sentiment from the "Fun and Games" stamp set, also from Cardz TV and here is a peek at the inside......  Here I used the same "Happy St. Patrick's Day" sentiment that I used on the pot of gold and the "Kiss me" sentiment is from the "Hugs & Kisses" set. I cut out those cute little  shamrocks using the pazzles and embossed them using my swiss dots embossing folder.

Here are the Cardz TV stamp sets that I used in today's project:

Happy Birthday Patti~

Hello my friends! Today starts a new challenge at Just A Scrappin. Today's challenge was to use the color BLUE, some dry embossing and bling. Today is also Patti's birthday(Happy Birthday Patti!!) and so I did my best to incorporate what Patti loves; blue as its her favorite color, bling and embossing! Here is my card for today's challenge:

I used kraft cardstock for my card base, soft blue and yellow floral PP by My Mind's Eye and blue bazzill cardstock. I embossed that adorable flower using my "flower circle"embossing folder and added a peachy keen stamp to it along with some yellow rhinestones from Recollections. My sentiment is from Paper Trey Ink's Just the Ticket stamp set which I inked up using my momento tuxedo black ink. To finish off the card, I used some Marigold twine by the Twinery, some satin blue ribbon that I had from my stash and a cute little rose that I inked up using my homemade glimmer mist.

I hope you stop on over at the Just A Scrappin Blog to see all the wonderful projects my design team sisters created. Now it's your turn! Are you up for the challenge?

Thats it for today and I want to say thank you for stopping by!!!

Paper Playtime Ch#4~ Sentiment Stamp

Good Morning! Today I am sharing a card that I made using washi tape. I have all this washi tape sitting around and decided that it was time to start using it LOL.

My card base is 4 1/4 X 5 1/2 and I used some white cardstock by Bazzill. I scored the cardstock on my scoring board to give it some dimension. Then I added some black and white lined washi tape to frame the inside of my panel. I used various washi tapes that I purchased at Cute Tape and my sentiment is from Lawn Fawn. I also used some glass tiles that I had in my stash just to add something else to the card. I felt like it needed something little and I had no clue what to use those glass tiles on so I figured why not on this card? I think it turned out okay, what do you think?

I am entering this card in the Paper Playtime Ch#4 "Sentiment Stamp" challenge. This challenge requires us to use a sentiment stamp and my "thank you" is just perfect! Well that is all I have today but I sure hope you hop on over to Paper Playtime and give this challenge a try! Thanks for stopping by!

Personal Challenge Week 4

Hello my friends. Today I am sharing a double-page layout that I made for week 4's personal challenge. Kellie challenged us to make a card or layout that consisted of 2 patterned papers or stamped papers and some stitching, either hand stitching or stamped stitches. So here is my layout that I created.

I decided to do a layout of my children playing in the snow from February of 2008. Yes i'm that behind in scrapbooking LOL. I used 3 patterned papers all from Recollections and 3 solid cardstock papers from Bazzill. I used my Pazzles inspiration machine to cut the title that says, "Up to Snow Good", a subtitle "Brrr" and the icicle border across the top of the pages. I also used my Martha Stewart snowflake punch for the snowflakes and I used another one of her punches called trim loop to make the baby blue borders. I used a stitch stamp by Papertrey Ink and stitched around the blue/pink patterned paper in black momento ink.  Here are closer pics of the layout.

The left side of the layout.

The right side of the layout.

Well that is my week 4 challenge! Please check out Kellie's blog to see what she has created for our personal challenge.  Week 5's challenge is to use the Mojo Monday sketch #281 and add 2 buttons to it. Here is a picture of the sketch

If you would like to get in on the challenges with us, we would love to see your creations. If you do play along, please link back to our blogs. This has been a fun month and I  am looking forward to seeing what Kellie cooks up for us next week! Have a wonderful day!

Cupid Valentine

Hello everyone! TGIF!!! I am always happy when the weekend gets here because I know that I will have more time to get crafty. Well most of the time anyways hehe. I know Valentine's day is over with but I wanted to share this card that I made for my daughter. She absolutely loved it.

I used some kraft cardstock for my base, some red/polka dotted paper by Paper Trey Ink and white cardstock by Bazzill. I used my Teddy Bear Parade cartridge and cut my cupid bear out at 3".  For the bear's wings and outter panel of the card, I used some ultra fine glitter by Martha Stewart. The sentiments both on the outside and the inside are from Mary's Cardz TV Stamps, "Hugs & Kisses" and "Happy Days". I used a small heart punch to create the tiny hearts and my hearts embossing folder by Paper Loft(Hobby Lobby brand) for my focal panel. Of course I had to put this adorable cupid on an action wobble!

Well thanks for stopping by today! Don't forget that I have 2 giveaways right now. You can enter them Here and Here!
Have a fantastic crafty weekend!!!

Happy Valentine's Day~ JAS Anything Goes!

Happy Heart Day my friends!!!
Today is a day full of love, chocolates and roses or as some would say, Valentines! It is also a day for another fun challenge with Just A Scrappin'.  Today's challenge is Anything Goes BUT you cannot use the color RED. No problem right? So here is what I came up with without using any red.

I challenged myself to also do a one layer card which I never do! I struggled with it though because i'm used to layers and a one layer card looks "empty" to me LOL however; I think I like how this turned out. The polka dot paper is from Paper Trey Ink and the solid cardstock is from Bazzill. I used a stamp that I had in my stash, added some purple ribbon trim, tied a couple bows and used some Jolee's embellishments that say " I love you" on the sticks. Too cute! Here is a closer look...

Well I sure hope you all have a wonderful Valentine's Day and if you are like me and are staying in, maybe you can try out the challenge and link up your own creation. Just stop on by the JAS Blog to see all the wonderful inspiration going on and to see what my other design team sisters created.

Have a wonderful day!!!

Personal Challenge- Valentines & A Giveaway!

Hello friends! I hope you had a wonderful weekend. My weekend was busy as it was my daughter's bowling party and slumber party. Boy was it noisey!!! LOL  But the girls all had a wonderful time and I got some beautiful photos for future layouts.

Today I am posting weeks 2 and 3 of my personal challenge with my friend Kellie. I did not have the chance to get last week's challenge posted so here it is.

Kellie challenged us to use the wax paper resist technique. I did that using some glossy white cardstock by Georgia Pacific and inked it up using Ruby Red ink by Stampin Up. I am not sure if Ruby Red is still available as I had this one for awhile. My sentiment is from Mary's Cardz Tv stamp set called "Hugs and Kisses". I added some trim from my stash, some gorgeous seam binding ribbon and cut out my hearts using the My Favorite Things "Hearts A Plenty" die-namics. I used some of the Martha Stewart glitter bits on the white heart. I love those!

Ok so on to week 3's challenge... I challenged Kellie and I to create a nice Valentine tag. Here is what I came up with.

I used a shipping tag and sprayed it with my "Star Fish" red and "Fully Purple" glimmer mists by Tattered Angels. Once that dried I added some glitter tape by American Crafts, some heart bling from Recollections, pearl bling by Want 2 Scrap and a cute angel rub-on by Fancy Pants. Again I used my MFT Die-namics to cut out the hearts and used a polka dot stamp to stamp the smaller heart. I added some trim that I had left over from the card above and finished it off with some fibers and ribbon. Here is a closer look at the tag.

Now it's time for my giveaway! One lucky person will win this stamp set from Theresa Collins. It's called "Every day Moments" and I just adore this set. All you have to do to win is stop on over to Kellie's blog, become a follower and leave her some love and then leave me a comment below that you did so! That's it! Easy Peasy! I will announce the winner on Friday the 15th.

Well I surely hope we have inspired you to get creative and if you would like to do the challenges with us, we would love to see your creations! Have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by!!!

JAS Challenge " Love is in the air"

Hello my crafty friends! I hope your day is going well! Today's challenge at Just A Scrappin is "Love is in the air" and what a great challenge as Valentine's day is just around the corner!! So here is what I made for today's challenge:

I used Recollection's cardstock for my card that is a standard A2 size. I embossed my white panel using a new embossing folder from the Paper Loft (Hobby Lobby's brand). I just love this embossing folder, as its full of hearts and just screams Love!

I cut out the hearts using the Heart's a Plenty MFT die-namics dies. I just love these dies and they cut so beautifully in my Craftwell Ebosser. My sentiment is from the new Cardz TV Stamp set "Hugs and Kisses". Mary always comes up with the perfect sentiments! To finish off my card I added some cute heart ribbon that I picked up at Michael's.

Well thats it for today but head on over to Just A Scrappin to see what my design team sisters have made for this challenge! Lots of inspiration to help you get your Valentine's completed!

A New Journey and a Winner!

Happy Monday my friends! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Today I am embarking on a new journey. Today is the first day that I will be home schooling my daughter Gia. Home Schooling has been something I have juggled back and forth in my mind and when I decided to ask the Lord to help me make the right decision, it led me to make the decision to home school. I do not know about many of you out there, but I just did not feel safe anymore sending my daughter off to school. A school that continues to leave their main doors UNlocked! After the Sandy Hook Elementary shootings took place, a piece of my heart broke and went out to all those parents and that is when the lightbulb went off in my head that I needed to pull my daughter out of school. I feel completely comfortable with this decision and look forward to teaching my daughter and watching her excel and grow.... with my help. Each day that I get to spend with her is a blessing! So please keep me in prayer that I am able to succeed in this journey with Gia and I plan on documenting and taking photos to scrapbook. This is definitely a big change for the both of us and we often forget to scrap our every day life versus the events that take place (Holidays, birthdays, etc). It's time to reflect on the small things in life and capture and journal those things, as those small things are actually huge. =)

I want to take the time to say THANK YOU  to everyone who has left me sweet comments on my blog makeover and for taking the time to follow me here, on pinterest and for stopping by Kellie's blog and following her. It truly made me realize that I have some wonderful friends! =)
So with that being said, lets get on to the winner of my mystery bag & Ac Moore's gift card giveaway! Random.org generated a sweet comment left by.....
