Here's my "To Die For" project:

Hello my friends! T.G.I.F! and I'm so excited because its a new challenge day at Cardz TV.  I just love when Mary comes up with different themes for our challenges and this challenge was to use a die cut on our project. So for my die cut, I cut out the scalloped edge circle using my Pazzles Inspiration machine and stamped my sentiment "Warmest Holiday Wishes" from the new stamp set 'Christmas Joy' from Cardz TV Stamps by Mary. I stamped it on some white cardstock by Georgia Pacific (WalMart) and attached a green CTMH brad at the top. I also used another sentiment from this set in the very front of the card, "Get your Jingle on", also stamped on GP cardstock using momento tuxedo black ink and cutting it into a banner. I just love this sentiment and it goes perfectly with my cute little reindeer who just happens to be wearing his jingle bell harness. This card was so much fun to make, it is a stair step card that measures 5 in a half inches by 4 and a quarter inches once folded. The wonderful Miss Mary created this stair step card and if you want to make one for yourself, here are the measurements:
Start with a 5 in a half inch by 12 inch piece of paper. Score at 4 and a quarter inches, 8 in a half inches and 10 and a quarter inches. That's it! Easy Peasy!

Okay so my card base is from Bazzill and the patterned paper is from the Free Bird Comfort line by Authentique. I inked up the edges and the scalloped circle using some Tim Holtz walnut stain distress ink. My reindeer is a stamp that I purchased from Great Impressions Stamps and colored using my copics E07, E51, E53 and E57. I used some silver stickles for his jingle bells. The tree stamp was a steal that I got from Michael's a long time ago for a dollar. I colored this in using G21, G24, G28, E27 and YG81.  I added some "diamond dust" glass effects to give the look of fresh fallen snow. I then used my Martha Stewart snowflake punch using more of the white GP cardstock to create a snow scene. I really like how this card turned out.

Well that is all I have for you today and I hope you give this challenge a try. You can link up your creation below. Happy Thanksgiving!

I want to take a minute to give thanks to all of you for your continous support, love and friendship! I appreciate all the comments and inspiration you all share with me. I truly hope that each and every one of you have a wonderful day filled with love, family, laughter and turkey! Here is my Thanksgiving blessing to you all:

Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more; it turns denial into acceptance, chaos into order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home and a stranger into a friend.

You were all strangers to me at one point but now you are all friends. I am thankful for each and every one of you.
Have a blessed and Happy Thanksgiving!

Hugs,

Cardz TV Challenge 19 "Scene it" Christmas Joy

Happy Friday! Today starts a brand new

CTVS Ch#19 "Scene It"
Starts: Friday, Nov 16th @ 12:00 am EST
Ends: Thursday, Nov 22nd @ NOON EST
Details: Create a card, layout or craft project with a
SCENE FOR THANKSGIVING OR CHRISTMAS
Prize: 1 set of Cardz TV Stamps of the winner's choice
(shop Cardz TV Stamps... HERE)
Winner (chosen by random.org) Announced: Friday, Nov 23rd @ Cardz TV

Here's my "Scene It" project:

I wanted to create the warm and cozy feeling of Christmas Eve where the fire is crackling, Christmas music playing in the background, cookies baking in the oven and lights lit up all around. AAhhh I can picture Christmas already! Okay so my card is standard A2 size. My card base is Bazzill and my layer and patterned paper are from Recollections. I used my Martha Stewart Snowflakes punch to make a small border along the top. I used various stamps for this card. The fireplace stamp is from Hero Arts and the string of lights is from Bo Bunny's new Christmas line. The Christmas tree is from Hot off the Press and presents are from a stamp I got in the dollar bin at Michael's.

I colored the fireplace stamp using my copics E29, E33, E35, 100, R24, R29, R59, Y19, YR02, YR68, G21 and G24. The Christmas tree was colored using copics G21, G24, G28 and G85. I colored in the presents using my gel pens and the star and string of lights were stamped in Momento Tuxedo black ink and colored in using stickles. I used stickles to add lights to the Christmas tree too.

Here is a peek at the inside of my finished card:

I LOVE this sentiment "May the beauty of this season bring you joy!"
The sentiment is from the Christmas Joy stamp set from Mary's Cardz TV Stamps. I used the negative snowflakes from the border I punched on the front of the card for the inside to give it that "Christmas" feel.

Well I hope you enjoyed my project for this challenge. You can join in on this fun challenge by linking up your project below! If you want to purchase this stamp set or any other Cardz TV stamps, you can purchase them HERE.

Thanks for stopping by today! Have a wonderful weekend.  =)

Paper Smooches Guest Designer Call

Happy Hump Day! Today I decided to whip up a card for Kim over at Paper Smooches. They are having a Guest Designer call for the month of December. If you think you would like to give this a go you still have plenty of time. The deadline is November 21st. Click HERE to read more about it.
Okay so here is what I came up

I decided to use Paper Smooches "I love you" sentiment along with their adorable bird! I really love this bird lol. I colored in the bird with my copics YR02, YR04, B41, W3, W5, YG67,RV93 and RV95. The heart was also colored in using RV93 & RV95. My card is a regular 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 base.

My card base is paper by Recollections and the pretty pink and patterned papers are from Little Yellow Bicycle's "Love Letters" collection. I have had this paper stashed for a very long time and I finally found a good use for it. The patterned paper has a hint of gray outlining the circles so that is why I went with a gray bird. I added some black/white washi tape to the corners of the sentiment and added a few black/white prima flowers. To the flowers, bird and the "i", I added some Petal Pink liquid pearls. The bow believe it or not is made from washi tape and the ribbon ends are some of the patterned paper that I cut by hand. Below is a close up of the "washi-tape" bow. Sorry that the picture is a bit blurry, my lighting was off.

Well thats it for today my friends. I sure hope you stop on over at Paper Smooches and enter your own project. You cannot be chosen if you do not try out! And have you seen all the new stamps being showcased yet? The snowmen are too cute! I just LOVE Kim's stamps!

Thanks for stopping by ya'll!

D.I.Y. Fall Wreath Project

Hello my friends! Boy this weekend sure has flown by rather quickly for me but it has been a productive weekend. I was able to spend a good amount of time in my craft room working on challenges, Christmas cards and projects. I did manage to take a break from "Christmas" for a little bit to find time to make a fall wreath that I have been wanting to make.

About 3 weeks ago I was in WalMart and they had a great sale on wreaths and fall decor. This is what set my mind on wanting to make wreaths. These wreaths were $2 so I picked up two of them, one to make for now and one to do for Christmas time.

So here is what the wreath looked like before I started working on it.

I ended up getting out my hot glue gun, glue sticks, ribbons, florals and pine cones and within an hour, this is what I had finished

This wreath cost me about $8 to make! I am very happy and pleased with how this turned out. I have this hanging in my living room above my television. It looks so pretty!! I cannot wait to start working on my Christmas wreath. Well thats it for now and I want to say thank you for stopping by today. I hope you have a great Sunday afternoon as I will be watching some football and catching up on school work.

Hugs,

Prize: 1 set of Cardz TV Stamps of the winner's choice

Here's my "I'm So Thankful" project:

My card is a standard A2 card 4 1/4 x 5 1/2. The papers I used here are Bazzill and Recollection's. I used my fiskar's fall leaf punch and punched a cute border on the top and bottom of my patterned paper and added some Rock Candy distress stickles to add some shine. The Turkey is a die cut that I had in my stash for a long time and it is from Debbie Mumm. I just mounted two scalloped circles behind the turkey to give him extra feathers. I colored the outer layer of "feathers" with my copics, G21& E33. My sentiment is from the "Encouraging Thoughts" stamp set from Mary's Cardz TV! The sentiment is up on foam dimensionals. To finish off the front, I added some leaves that I had on hand with a cute brown button that I added some "Cappaccino" twine that I got from The Twinery.

Here is the inside. I followed the same papers from the front of the card and I added another brown button with twine to the top. The sentiment is from the "Happy Day's" stamp set, again from Mary's Cardz TV.

Oh did I forget to mention that my turkey is on an action wobble??? Here he is gobblin and a'wobblin!!!
